Responsibilities:
- Work on product and tech initiatives balancing effort, quality, and user value
- Optimize and improve the AutoScout24 technology stack targeting efficiency
- Support agile product development approaches
- Apply an AI-first mindset across design, coding, testing, deployment, operations
- Work hands-on in production codebases (Java/Spring Boot), leveraging GenAI tools for acceleration and quality
- Build and evolve AI-powered internal tools and workflows (coding assistants, review tools, documentation, testing)
- Coach teams on GenAI effectiveness, share patterns/anti-patterns, establish AI-first practices organization-wide
- Run data-informed experiments, identify working approaches, convert successes into standardized playbooks
Required Qualifications:
- Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot with breadth across Object-Oriented and Functional paradigms
- 5+ years Software Engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Kafka, and AWS (strong plus)
- Team player with decisive mentality
- Demonstrated personal excellence in using GenAI coding tools (for example GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, OpenAI Codex)
- Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI)
- Pragmatic understanding of GenAI limitations, risks, and guardrails
- Strong communication and influencing skills: ability to introduce new tools and practices, align stakeholders, handle skepticism and iterate based on feedback
