The Challenge Describes a typical week: Monday features rapid iteration using AI-generated PRs, shipping to staging by lunch, production by 3 PM. Tuesday involves customer collaboration. Wednesday includes architectural redesign with principal engineers. Thursday refines UI based on usage data. Friday demos accumulated work. More shipping in one week than a typical sprint.

About You An AI-first engineer who actively uses AI tools daily, not occasionally. Outcome and customer-obsessed. Early-career by timeline but not by output. Comfortable alongside senior engineers. Experiments compulsively, measures obsessively, ships imperfect work for iteration over perfection.

Your Impact First early-career AI engineering hire reporting to CTO Chen. Will define AI-first engineering practices at the company while working alongside staff/principal engineers. Owns features end-to-end for enterprise customers.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Ship features to production multiple times daily using Claude Code, Codex, and AI-augmented workflows as your primary development approach
• Own features end-to-end from problem understanding through deployment and impact measurement
• Build and evolve the AI intelligence platform including agentic workflows, evaluation infrastructure, and UI/UX
• Rapidly prototype approaches, measure results against evaluation framework, and iterate
• Pair with senior engineers on architectural and domain expertise
• Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, and Solutions Engineering teams
• Share learnings on AI-first workflows and tooling
• Write clear, tested, maintainable code

Requirements

• Demonstrable software shipping experience (personal projects, open source, freelance, startup, or professional)
• Daily fluency with AI coding tools — not as an occasional novelty but as how you work
• Strong Python and TypeScript fundamentals; ability to reason about AI-generated code
• Portfolio showing velocity and quality
• Rapid prototyping comfort; comfort discarding experiments
• Intellectual curiosity and honesty
• Clear communication abilities
• Ambition and resilience

• Open-source contributions
• GCP or infrastructure tooling experience

Compensation Up to £120,000 (London/Singapore) or $200,000 (New York) plus meaningful equity on a standard vesting schedule. Localized benefits including enhanced parental leave, well-being budget, and annual training budget.
