Fullstack Software Engineer (AI-powered)

About the Role

Jurata is a LegalTech startup providing an online one-stop shop for legal, accounting, and tax services to SMEs in Switzerland. The role targets hands-on engineers seeking end-to-end responsibility in a fast-paced startup, building a scalable business model powered by cutting-edge technologies.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain Next.js frontends
• Migrate legacy applications from no-code platforms (WeWeb/Retool)
• Contribute to backend services using Nest.js and Python
• Deliver fullstack features end-to-end
• Own problems from idea through specifications to development, testing, release, monitoring and improvements
• Manage stakeholders across operations, business, sales, and marketing teams
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions
• Work closely with CTO for frequent feedback

What You'll Need

• 2-5 years TypeScript ecosystem experience
• Solid hands-on Next.js proficiency
• Focus on highly maintainable, well-tested software
• Good eye for design — capable of crafting beautiful GUIs with strong design sensibility
• RESTful API and third-party service integration skills
• You actively use AI coding tools (Cursor, Windsurf, etc.)
• Using Windsurf, Cursor, or other agentic code editors is a no-brainer
• Continuous LLM and agent usage for accelerating development work
• Autonomous work capacity and iterative building approach
• Clear communication skills

Nice to Have

• Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• MongoDB experience
• Vercel and AWS familiarity

Work Setup

Zurich office presence required (on-site default). EU/EFTA citizenship needed for relocation consideration.
