About the Role
CloudLinux is seeking a generalist engineer who develops through AI agents as a default working mode, orchestrating AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Windsurf, aider, Claude Code, etc.) to design, build, test, and ship services, data pipelines, and automation infrastructure that their backporting platform runs on.
Key Responsibilities
- Automate patch management leveraging AI for large-scale Linux systems
- Develop using AI agents as a default working mode
- Build services, CLIs, and data pipelines with AI-assisted coding tools
- Own critical workstreams end-to-end, including platform transitions
- Drive migration from legacy to new Automation Pipeline infrastructure with zero disruption
- Audit both old and new pipeline implementations to ensure no viable data is lost
- Seamlessly onboard the new product into the existing ecosystem with any missing integrations designed
- Leverage AI to automate knowledge sharing, onboarding artifacts, and technical documentation
- Share updates on delivered features effectively and asynchronously
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of professional experience as a developer or engineering lead
- Generalist engineering DNA comfortable across the stack (backend services, CI/CD pipelines, data migrations)
- Advanced Python proficiency (multithreading, async, networking, OS internals)
- Hands-on LLM integration experience calling LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and familiarity with techniques like RAG, CAG, and agentic patterns
- CI/CD (Jenkins/GitLab CI), Docker, testing automation
- Basic C knowledge
- Data analysis and metrics building
- Remote communication proficiency
- Junior engineer mentoring experience
