Quality Engineer (AI-Driven & Exploratory) (m/f/d)

This position blends exploratory testing, systems thinking, automation, and AI-driven testing approaches. The role helps define quality practices for teams that move quickly while maintaining real-world product reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead exploratory testing to uncover edge cases, usability issues, and real user risks
• Design and execute test strategies that evolve with the product
• Use AI-assisted tools to generate, expand, and maintain test coverage
• Partner closely with Engineers and Product Managers during feature development — not after
• Identify quality risks early and help teams address them before release
• Contribute to automated testing where it makes sense (API, integration, end-to-end)
• Continuously improve testing workflows, tooling, and feedback loops

Core Skills:

• Strong experience in exploratory testing and risk-based testing
• A modern quality mindset: quality as a team responsibility, not a silo
• Comfort using AI tools to assist with test generation, analysis, and validation
• Experience working in fast-paced, iterative product environments
• Ability to think in systems, not just test cases
• Clear communication and confidence collaborating with Engineers and PMs
• Pragmatic judgment about when to automate and when to explore manually

Nice to Have:

• Experience building or maintaining automated test suites
• Familiarity with modern testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience testing AI-powered or data-driven features
• Background in product, UX, or customer support insights
• Interest in improving developer and tester experience through better tooling
