Founding Product Engineer

Sortd is building the best consumer travel & lifestyle agent. We started with a bookmarking app that helps Gen Zs and Millennials actually do the things they see online.

We're looking for a Product Engineer to join as one of our first hires in London. This isn't a narrow "just code what's handed to you" role — it's a product + engineering hybrid where you'll own ideas end-to-end, from napkin sketch to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Prototype quickly with AI tools like Cursor, Copilot, Claude to test ideas with real users
• Ship and learn: sometimes hacky, sometimes polished — always with a clear sense of tradeoffs
• Think like a product owner: you'll obsess over whether a feature actually makes sense for users, not just whether it works
• Shape culture: as an early hire, how you work and collaborate will define how Sortd grows

Required Skills & Attributes

• Full-stack experience with React/TypeScript + Node/Express or similar
• Comfort using AI to speed up coding and product workflows
• Good judgment for when to do it fast vs. when to do it right
• Ownership: You'll design, build, and ship features end-to-end
