Full Stack Engineer with AI Coding Expertise for SaaS Platform

We're seeking a Full Stack Engineer to build across the entire stack with hands-on AI coding tool experience. You'll develop a new SaaS product simplifying accounting tax processes, owning features end-to-end from database to UI while integrating AI capabilities.

Headquarters: New York. Management primarily in USA (East Coast timezone availability required). Interviewing team based in Sydney, Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain features across the full stack, from frontend interfaces to backend services and databases
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services
• Develop responsive, performant user interfaces with modern frontend frameworks
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities including LLMs, embeddings, and AI APIs
• Write clean, tested, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Collaborate with product and design teams
• Debug and resolve issues across the stack
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong frontend proficiency: React, Vue, or similar frameworks
• Strong backend proficiency: Node.js, Python, Go, or similar
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML integration (OpenAI, Anthropic APIs)
• Understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, or RAG architectures
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps familiarity
• Strong problem-solving and independent work ability
• Experience building and shipping features using AI-assisted workflows (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot)

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience fine-tuning models or ML pipelines
• LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar AI framework familiarity
• Open-source contributions
• Startup or fast-paced environment experience
